Department Description: The Eastern Region systems engineering team supports sales by designing and implementing integrated two-way radio communications systems using technologies based upon APCO25 and other standards of wireless communication. We meet customer requirements and support projects in the State and Local Government Public Safety market.
Scope: Two (2) resources required to provide engineering assistance on State of Louisiana currently being implemented.
Specific Responsibilities: Responsible to design & implement Alarm & monitoring subsystem (MOSCAD) Responsible to create System documentation that will include: Participate in Site Audits System level diagrams Rack Layouts Floor Plan Layouts Responsible to create documentation intended for internal System Staging Participate in analyzing existing inventory of equipment to determine usability Analyze existing Frequency Plan and revise this plan Complete final documentation for Frequency plan Research and determine System Acceptance Test Plans Execute SATP in coordination with Lead Engineer
Timeline: Identified deliverables need to be executed during Q2.

Minimum Qualifications: BS Degree in Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering required. Experience in Radio systems, RF or Wireless Engineering is highly desired. CCNA / CCNP Certifications is highly desired.
Specific Knowledge/Skills: Excellent communications skills Working with end customers will be required Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Working knowledge of computer software, hardware, LAN required Experienced in using Microsoft Office suite Must be willing to travel
Scope of Responsibilities & Expectations: Provide extensive technical support for local Systems Engineering teams who primarily design & implement wireless communication networks for public safety customers. Candidate will work closely with Systems Engineers & Project Managers to implement wireless communication solutions and will be responsible for specific technical tasks associated on several projects. Each technical task will have aggressive deadlines. Candidate will be responsible for several deliverables and will be expected to work with the lead engineer on several projects.
Responsibilities include tasks such as generating frequency plans, creating radio unit templates, create system design documentation, execute coverage testing, execute system testing and in general assist the the lead engineer with typical wireless design deliverables.
