Wireless Field Systems Engineers

These individuals will be required to implement, optimize, repair and maintain communications systems throughout the Eastern US – specifically in the New York vicinity during the term of this contract.  These could be wired or wireless systems for voice, data, video, telemetry or any other type of communications and control functions. Responsibilities will also include thorough documentation of work performed and may also be required to train end users and other personnel on equipment operation and maintenance. 

 

EXTENSIVE TRAVEL WOULD BE REQUIRED

Note that travel maybe required between New York and our staging facility in IL during this contract term.

 

These Technologist(s) must have experience in the following areas and/or technologies:

  • Must have very strong knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN),

  • Must be proficient in computer network installation, configuration and maintenance, systems to include cabling, routers, switches, and bridges. 

  • Must have very strong knowledge of R.F. systems, such as transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks. 

  • Must have strong knowledge in standard telephony and dedicated data circuits, as well as knowledge of packet switching techniques. 

  • Must be highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access. 

  • Must have strong self-management skills and "people" skills to work closely with our external customers and with our MSS community, as well as our internal sales, engineering, project management, and customer service teams. 

  • Must be self-motivated and self-managed to perform the required duties at a distance from direct supervision. 

  • Must be able to solve customer problems quickly during stressful situations.
